Teaching Machines New Tricks.
We are delighted that we have gained Isabel Drost-Fromm as one of our keynote speakers.
Isabel, who is a regular speaker at FroSCOn, is a member of the Apache Software Foundation and co-founder of the Apache Mahout project. She mentored several incubating projects. Isabel’s focus of interest is in the field of search, text mining and machine learning. Together with her thorough background in open source project management and open collaboration we can expect an exciting and informative keynote talk.
In Sunday’s keynote talk ‘Teaching machines new tricks’ Isabel wants to share her experiences in building successful machine learning pipelines. Using examples she will explain how machine learning has evolved over the last two decades and what implications that new machine learning based systems have.
